Good morning my fellow lacquered lovers! I meant to post this yesterday but then things got a little crazy so instead you will get two posts today! Today I have 6 NYX polishes to show you! I will show you 3 this morning and 3 a bit later! I had never tried this brand before and was really excited to give them a shot since I remember when they used to sponsor RuPaul's Drag Race which may be one of my favorite shows ever. I mean come on! Who doesn't love drag queens? So now, without further ado, on to the polish!
Above: 2 coats of Smooth Operator
Smooth Operator is the perfect gold for my skin tone! Finally one that doesn't look to yellow or make my skin look sickly! I love that Smooth Operator is almost a rose-gold shade. I was worried at first that it might be streaky but instead there are little tiny sparkles that just light up your finger nails! It's fully opaque in 2 coats and just looks very expensive on the nails. I'm a big fan!

Pastel Coral is a very juicy looking bright coral shade. This isn't really a color I'd wear too often, but I do love how shiny it is even without a top coat. It was fully opaque in two coats and is a very nice shade if you're a pink person! I see this being a great pedicure color in the spring as well!

I love Aqua! This is such a gorgeous aqua cream with a hint of dustiness but mega shine! I love it! This is such a great blue for summer. As with the others, this was fully opaque in 2 coats and has a ton of pigment which makes is very vibrant! This might be my favorite of the three!
All in all, I really liked these! They were fun! The bottle shape is eerily reminiscent of Deborah Lippmann's bottles (just with a different top) but the colors are fun and the formula is great! NYX cosmetics can be found online or at certain retailers.

ReplyDeleteSmooth Operator looks similar to Already Famous by OPI. I love that polish! Surprisingly that pink appeals to me and I'm totally not a pink person. New follower here, enjoying your pictures and commentary!
