Mattese Elite Cosa Nostra Mob Collection Swatches and Review

Good afternoon my fellow lacquered lovers! I have SUCH a treat for you today! Now Mattesse Elite is a brand that is sold exclusively at Ricky's which is an amazing beauty store in NYC. I love Ricky's. I have one that is 2 blocks from my job and another 2 blocks from my apartment. I go there all the time and spend tons of money on all the things that help make me look pretty like my shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer, makeup and of course, nail polish! They sell a ton of brands, however I have never tried their in store brand, Mattesse Elite before.

Today, I have their whole new fall collection for you! Cosa Nostra Mob Collection is coming out this week and I have to say, I adore it! Now, without further ado, I give you the colors!

Above: Whack - 2 coats over 1 coat Seche Vite Ridge Filler

Whack is a very deep plum color that's perfect for fall. It's rich and intensely pigmented. The formula was great, fully opaque in 2 coats with no streaking or bald spots. I love how much this shade changes in the light or in the shade, and I love that it's a deep plum without being blackened like many purples can be!

Above: The Boss - 2 coats over 1 coat Seche Vite Ridge Filler

This might be my favorite polish from this collection! It's a dark grey that has this intense metallic finish that is just stunning. I definitely don't have anything close to this since most metallic grey's are silver, not gunmetal. The Boss IS a bit streaky as all metallics are, however the color is so pretty that I don't even care!

Above: Vig - 2 coats over 1 coate Seche Vite Ridge Filler

Vig is a really beautiful dark teal shade. If Whack is a dark plum, Vig is a dark teal. This is a gorgeous creme, fully opaque in two coats. I love the jewel tones that are coming out this fall and I love that this is a cream, not a shimmer because it really makes it stand out.

Above: Capo - 2 coats over 1 coat Seche Vite Ridge Filler

Capo is actually one of my favorites from this collection! It's a medium grey shade, almost looks like something from a spring collection, and it has a fine silver sparkle to it that really gives it depth and something interesting on the nail! Again, it was fully opaque in 2 coats like the rest of this collection and really is a gorgeous color for when you want something a bit more subtle.

Above: Goomah Comare - 2 coats over 1 coat of Seche Vite Ridge Filler

Holy pink nail polish! This color is the true color splash of the Cosa Nostra Mob Collection! Goomah Comare is a HOT, bright pink (think barbie) with a tiny hint of a blue shimmer to it in the light! This color is bright and in your face and even though I'm not a pink girl, it's really fun! It seems a bit out of place in this collection but I think I kind of like that because it's such a surprise! If you are a pink kind of girl, this color is definitely for you!

Above: Consigliere - 2 coats over 1 coate Seche Vite Ridge Filler

Last but not least is Consigliere. Consigliere is lighter grey with strong blue undertones to it. I really like this color because anything yellow based looks awful on me so when polishes are blue based, they tend to work with my skin tone. There is nothing extra special about this color but if you are looking for a lighter grey creme with a bit of blue to it, then this color is great to have in your collection. This is the only polish of the collection that I probably have a dupe for but it's still very pretty.

All in all, I really enjoyed the Mattesse Elite Cosa Nostra Mob Collection! The brushes were great and really easy to manipulate, the formulas on all of these was a great consistency and fully opaque in 2 coats, and I really loved the colors! Plus, the names and theme for the collection is just awesome! Mattesse Elite polishes can be found at Ricky's stores throughout New York or online by clicking HERE. Mattesse Elite polishes are $5.99 for a full size bottle or $3.99 for a mini bottle.

Have any of you ever tried Mattesse Elite? What did you think of this collection? Any must have colors?
