Good afternoon my fellow lacquered lovers! Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far! Today, I have the second half of the amazing Layla nail polishes I got at Cosmoprof in Las Vegas last week! I know you've all been waiting for the holograms and mirror effect polishes so today, I have 2 holograms, 1 mirror and a flakie for good measure! Now, without further ado, on to the polish!

This is how incredible this polish is even in artificial light! It's stunning! Emerald Divine is a gorgeous bright green holographic. In the sun, it's even more stunning! The holographic effect is very strong in this one, stronger than even some of the 8 original Layla colors! I didn't use a base coat, just Layla's buffer that they recommend and this is 3 thin coats to get the most intensity out of the shade!

Ok so for some reason, Red Taboo didn't want to play nice with my camera. The holographic effect IS stronger than it shows here, however it is NOT as strong as Emerald Divine. It's also not exactly red, it's more of a dark reddish pink. It's really beautiful in person and you can see on the accent nail picture it is more holo than the ones above it. If you are looking for a true red holo, this is definitely pink in person but it's just beautiful! I did three thin coats for full opacity!

Now this is a really special polish. Black as Ebony comes from the new Mirror Effect line that will launch in the US very soon. There are 8 (I think) colors that all have a chrome finish. The amazing thing about these chromes as compared to others is that there are NO brushstrokes. It kind of looks like there might be when you paint it on and then it dries to this unbelievably smooth and shiny finish. I could seriously see a fuzzy reflection of myself in them! You can't use a base coat with this because it gets all wrinkly so you use Layla's very fine buffer to smooth out your nails. Keep in mind that any imperfections will show with this polish but it dries unbelievably fast so this is perfect for a manicure on the go!

The Butterfly Effect is part of the Ceramic Effect Line and part of the Christmas in Laylaland holiday collection for 2012. The Butterfly Effect (also known as #52 in their lineup) is a beautiful dark purple jelly full of flakies that flash gold, red and green. This is pretty much a dead on dupe for Nfu-Oh 51! The flakies give a duochrome effect and while this is three thin coats layered, it would be gorgeous over a dark purple also!
Here is just a fun picture of a manicure I did with Black as Ebony and Emerald Divine:
All in all, I LOVE these polishes! Layla really has some exciting stuff coming out this year between the soft touch lines, mirrors, flakies, glitters and holographics! I love seeing this innovative brand really becoming successful and coming out with gorgeous polishes! All of these are starting to pop up all over the world so keep your eyes open!
What do you think of these polishes? Any must haves? Any dupes?
